AIM 2018 July 9-12, 2018, Auckland, New Zealand
IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics

Please revise your manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and submit the final manuscript.

Electronic submission of the final version of your manuscript and all the necessary forms are due by May 28, 2018.

Please note that all regular papers are limited to six (6) pages and 2MB. You will not be able to upload a manuscript longer than 6 pages, unless excess page charge of NZ$310/page is paid. Note that even with the excess page charges, the maximum page limit is 8 pages for all papers.

To ensure the final manuscript is IEEE Xplore-compatible, the final manuscript PDF file will be checked for compliance during the final submission.

At the time of uploading the final version of your manuscript, you will also need to electronically submit a one-page MS PowerPoint summary of your paper to be included in the Conference Digest. A digest template may be downloaded here.
The manuscript submission website will require that you submit your PPT summary and make any final changes to the author list and title of the paper before uploading the paper.

Those accepted for Poster presentation are to download the MSPowerPoint template to summarise their work as a one-page PowerPoint Digest summary.

The submission is now open through Paperplaza, please see the following link:

Full papers are to be submitted.

You can find information on the required template here:

Authors should adhere to the following steps for submitting the paper (for initial submission):

   1. Create an account: go to, then PIN and fill out the form. Ask all your co-authors to do the same if they do not have an account on the system yet, write down the authors’ PINs (this information is needed for manuscript processing purposes).

   2. Go to Support Menu and depending on how you are preparing your paper, download a template: LaTeX or MS-Word

. Use these templates/style files to create the paper and save in PDF format.

   3. Upload the paper: go to and click on “submit a contribution to AIM 2018″.

   4. Submit regular paper.

   5. Fill in the form presented on the next page (make sure to enter all author PINs created in Step 1).

A manuscript should be of 6 pages, with 2 additional pages allowed but at an extra charge of NZ$310/page.

All papers submitted to AIM 2018 will undergo a peer review process. A manuscript will be reviewed by at least three reviewers, who will provide detailed comments and – if the submission gets accepted – the authors submit a revised (“camera-ready”) version that takes into account this feedback. The review process is managed by the program chair, the program co-chairs, the editors, and the conference associate editors.

All papers are reviewed using a single-blind review process, where the authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other’s identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript. A maximum of eight to ten full papers will be evaluated per reviewer. With this method, reviewers are free to be completely honest in their assessments without fear of harassment and they also benefit from evaluating the author’s current research in the context of the author’s past work.
